Esther García Moreno
Originally from Madrid, Spain, and based in Boston, Massachusetts, pianist Esther García Moreno brings a blend of sensitivity, versatility, and expressive depth to her work. As a collaborative pianist with an international presence, she enjoys performing with soloists, chamber ensembles, and choirs. Drawing on her early training as a soprano, Esther feels a special connection to the world of opera and vocal coaching.
She currently serves as staff pianist at Berklee College of Music, working closely with the Vocal Department, and she is part of the team of collaborative pianists at Boston Children’s Chorus. She also teaches piano at Brookline Music School and both voice and piano at Solomon Schechter Day School. Her work as a performer and educator reflects a deep commitment to fostering musical growth in both young and professional artists.
In 2023, Esther participated in La Musica Lirica as a collaborative pianist, working with Maestro Pietro Billi during rehearsals and performances of Don Giovanni. She also took part in masterclasses with Maestro Joseph Rescigno as well as visiting guest artists, received mentorship from Professor Valerie Trujillo, and collaborated closely with the voice faculty and students in private lessons. Additionally, she worked with Joan Nowaczynski in the Opera Scenes program. Esther is thrilled to return to La Musica Lirica in 2026 as a member of the piano faculty.
Esther began her formal studies at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria in Madrid, earning the Professional Degree in Music with Honorable Mentions in Chamber Music and in Relaxation Techniques and Anxiety Management. She later completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at Boston University under the tutelage of Professor Shiela Kibbe.
Her performance experience spans the United States, Mexico, Italy, and Spain, with festival appearances at Boston University Tanglewood Institute (Lenox, MA), Cantos para el Mundo (Torreón, Mexico), La Musica Lirica (Novafeltria, Italy), Clásicos Colgados (Cuenca, Spain), and Pirineos Classic (Canfranc, Spain).
A multifaceted musician, Esther’s repertoire ranges from classical music, opera, and musical theater to pop, R&B, and jazz. She continues to seek meaningful collaborations with singers, exploring the connection between text and music, and helping artists bring operatic characters to life through sound and storytelling.
