Dura Jones, one of the most dynamic young directors, pianists, coaches, and emerging conductors in New York, will join the Kollective366 Orchestra as Associate Conductor beginning in Fall 2025, featuring the season with Haydn’s rarely performed work The Seven Last Words of Christ. Passionate about exploring and discovering new contemporary works, she will also return to American Opera Project (AOP) in 2026 for Tamar Muskal and Daniel Kramer’s new opera The Riddle.

In 2025, Jones joined La Musica Lirica as a faculty pianist for L’Elisir d’Amore under the baton of Maestro Pietro Billi. Since 2023, she has served as Music Director for New York Manbaeksung Global Methodist Church, where she actively produces concerts throughout the year while also engaging in volunteer work for the community. During the 2023 winter season, she was Music Director for Des Moines Metro Opera’s Outreach Program, touring 64 venues and presenting more than 100 performances over a three-month tour.

As an apprentice pianist, coach, and assistant conductor, she worked with Sarasota Opera in 2019 on Tiefland by D’Albert under the highly acclaimed conductor David Neely. With her deep commitment to contemporary opera, she collaborated with City Lyric Opera from 2019–2022.

Jones currently serves as recital coach and vocal coach at the Manhattan School of Music, opera coach and pianist at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art, and assistant director and pianist with the Schiller Institute Choir in New York City.
