A musician in the Milwaukee area, Joan Nowaczynski enjoys a diverse career as a piano instructor, collaborative pianist, choral accompanist and liturgical music director.
As a collaborative pianist, Ms. Nowaczynski has spent the last three summers in Italy with La Musica Lirica. She has also worked with the Florentine Opera Studio Artists Community Outreach Program, as well as private voice studios.
Through her work as an accompanist, Ms. Nowaczynski has played extensively for high school choirs in the community as well as at Wisconsin Music Education Association Conventions, Wisconsin Choral Directors Association Conventions, and statewide choral music festivals. She is currently the accompanist for Women of Note and Milwaukee Choristers; one of Southeast Wisconsin's premier community choruses.
Ms. Nowaczynski has been a rehearsal and performance pianist for the Milwaukee Opera Theater as well as multiple high school musical productions. One highlight of her performing career was at the Well-Prepared Pianist Institute festival in Flagstaff, AZ as part of a piano teamĀ®; an internationally registered trademark of N. Jane Tan.
Ms. Nowaczynski holds a bachelor of music degree in piano performance and pedagogy from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
