Stephanie Henderson

Stephanie Henderson earned her MFA in Production Design with an emphasis in costuming from Michigan State University. She currently is a Visiting Professor at Albion College in Michigan teaching theatre history, designing productions and supervising students in the costume shop. Prior to her work at Albion, Steph spent three years at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga as a lecturer and designer in their Department of Theatre.

Steph has designed for Michigan State University Opera, Chattanooga Theatre Center, Lansing Community College, and Williamston Theatre as well as the theatre departments of Albion College and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In the summer of 2017, she worked with Opera Saratoga as their Festival Wardrobe Supervisor whose repertoire included Falstaff, The Cradle Will Rock and Zemire et Azore under the general directorship of Larry Edelson.

To date, Stephanie has designed over 35 productions in opera and theatre since graduating in 2013. She is a current member of USITT, TCG and Opera America. She is delighted to be returning to La Musica Lirica for her sixth summer after a short hiatus from the company.
